We’ve all been there, with our very first tarot deck in our hands and an excitement to start reading. And nothing but a little white book to tell us what to do. Mainly those books just give keywords and descriptions of the card while we stand there scratching our heads going “huh?” Sharon and I pretended to be our sixteen year old selves way back in the old days trying to figure this stuff out. Aside from being just plain fun, we talked about ways for the new students to start to know their cards. If you’ve already been studying, there is still plenty of new information here. We created a new exercise based on exercise 1a where we show you how to get to know the cards by looking at the picture and seeing what is happening and from there deciding what the personality of the card could be. In this exercise, we show you how to understand the many facets of the personality of the cards. This is a great way to begin developing the conversation with your cards when you just have a deck. The skills this exercise builds (if you do it on a regular basis) will serve you well for years to come. Come join us in the fun and feel free to play along when you think we are wrong, or you have other ideas of what these cards can mean. And as always, thank you for being here.
